Tosa East Town features Tudor and Colonial-style homes and bungalows. Wellauer Park has a mix of classic architectural styles and mid-century modern homes. And new development projects are turning industrial sites into trendy residential units in Tosa Village.

The Wauwatosa dining scene is continually growing. Many popular downtown spots have opened locations here. Café Hollander is a European-style café serving comfort food. Alioto’s serves seafood and steaks and has banquet rooms for private parties. BelAir Cantina offers creative Mexican cuisine and a selection of tequilas. Jose’s Blue Sombrero is another Mexican restaurant with a great happy hour. Ca’Lucchenzo is an Italian restaurant featuring homemade pasta and a wine list to pair. Texas de Brazil is an upscale Brazilian restaurant serving grilled meats tableside. For a traditional steakhouse, Milwaukee Steakhouse has steaks and classic American fare. Buckatabon Tavern and Supperclub focuses on Wisconsin ingredients and serves their locally-made Buckatabon Brandy. 
 
Crafty Crab Wauwatosa is known for its seafood boils and platters while Ristorante Bartolotta dal 1992 is a charming tavern with creative seasonal menus. Leff’s Lucky Town is a neighborhood bar and grill known for its signature burgers and craft beers. There’s also Firefly Tosa, a sleek modern bar serving American fare. Thai-namite of Wauwatosa specializes in curries and noodles, plus sushi, and cocktails. Ferch’s Crafthouse Grille is a local hangout with over 500 international beers. Try the donuts at the world-famous Cranky Al’s if you have a sweet tooth. 
 
For shopping, Mayfair Mall and the Promenade Shopping Center have retail stores, while The Mayfair Collection has outlet stores. On Saturdays, Tosa Farmers’ Market has fresh produce, craft vendors, live music, and community activities. 
 

Things to Do 

 
There are plenty of green spaces in Wauwatosa. Hart Park has sports facilities including soccer and baseball fields, and tennis courts. It also has hiking trails and a skate park. Jacobus Park features a pond and wading pool. County Grounds Park is located behind the Ronald McDonald House and has a 3.6-mile loop trail so you can observe the various wildlife. The Landing at Hoyt Park is a beer garden that hosts special events and live music. The Hart Park Rotary Stage hosts the Tosa Tonight Concert Series in the summer. There’s also the Mayfair Collection Music Spotlight Summer Concert Series from June to August. Annual festivals include Tosafest and Summerfest in Downtown Milwaukee.
 
Golf enthusiasts will love it here. There are several courses to choose from, including the public Hansen Park Golf Course and the private Blue Mound Golf and Country Club.
